The University of Wisconsin-Platteville (Platteville, WI) was founded in 1866 and is one of 13 publicly supported comprehensive universities in the University of Wisconsin System. UW-Platteville offers over 400 majors on campus and has more than 500 students earning a degree or taking courses at a distance through its three major colleges: The College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture; The College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science; The College of Liberal Arts and Education.
