The University of Alaska Anchorage comprises eight teaching units at the main campus in Anchorage. The Colleges of Education, Health and Social Welfare, Arts and Sciences, Business and Public Policy, Community and Technical, Schools of Engineering, School of Social Work, and School of Nursing. As well, there are five community campuses: Matanuska-Susitna College, Kenai Peninsula College, Kodiak College, and Prince William Sound Community College. UAA is the largest University in the state. UAA also provides higher education opportunities to Armed Services personnel throughout the state of Alaska. The five most popular programs are: Elementary Education, Psychology, Nursing, Accounting, and Business Administration. The University is comprised of eight schools: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Public Policy, College of Education, College of Health & Social Welfare, School of Nursing, School of Social Work, Community & Technical College, and School of Engineering.

College of Business and Public Policy
The UAA College of Business and Public Policy is the preeminent center for business education and policy research in Alaska. They actively engage in teaching, research and scholarly exchange in the North Pacific Rim and circumpolar Arctic. The college is committed to providing the newest technologies available for supporting the needs of students and faculty; to encouraging the use of these technologies in all courses; and to providing on-site maintenance and support. The programs advance critical thinking, promote habits of continuous learning, and develop technical, conceptual and communication skills. The student body is diverse in social and educational background, professional experience, learning motives, and career ambitions. The College of Business and Public Policy offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.
