John Galt Solutions announced today that Reddy Ice, a leading provider of packaged ice in the United States, has selected John Galt’s Atlas Planning Suite to support its demand planning process.
The demand for packaged ice varies in myriad ways and requires a robust solution in order to forecast and plan for this demand. Variables for ice demand include seasonality, weather, events and more. With Reddy Ice supplying the market with 1.8 million tons of ice annually through thousands of sellers, Reddy Ice’s sales and operations planning needed an automated system to capture and compile the available data, produce an accurate statistical forecast, and then integrate that into the demand and supply plan.
